Stat of the Week
Employees at flexible employers rate their Compensation & Benefits more highly
Employees at more flexible companies view their Compensation & Benefits more highly than employees at Full Time In Office firms.
This finding aligns with prior research showing employees view the ability to work remotely like a pay increase. That’s not surprising given employees incur additional costs (e.g. commute) when coming into the office.
Firms requiring Full Time In Office may find over time that they need to pay more for the same talent, or increase benefits to reduce the perceived cost of coming into the office five days a week.
From the Flexperts | Building Trust in Remote Teams: 4 Actions Leaders Should Take
According to Gallup, trust in organizational leadership continues to fall, with only 23% of employees reporting that they trust their company’s leaders. Trust takes time to build no matter where your team is located, but it may be a bit more challenging for leaders that spend less time with their teams in person.
Our latest Flexpert, Lindsay Kohler, shares 4 actionable strategies for leaders to build trust with their remote teams.
Each week we spotlight an emerging best practice on flexible work adoption or implementation from the best thinkers in flexible work. Interested in becoming a “Flexpert” and sharing your insights? Sign up today.
