Public Companies Are More Flexible Across Industries
In every industry, large public companies offer more flexibility than their private sector counterparts. It’s no surprise to see tech top the list of most flexible industries; it also has the smallest flexibility difference between public and private firms (6%).
Some industries have huge differences between public and private company flexibility. In healthcare (87% vs. 37%), Consumer Goods (87% vs. 47%), and Retail (61% vs. 14%), this is far more flexibility within publicly traded companies.
