ICYMI: The Case for Team-Level Agreements in Your Return-to-Office Strategy
Brian Elliott is the Co-Founder of Future Forum and author of “How The Future Works.” He most recently was an SVP at Slack and has spent more than three decades building high-growth companies.
In this blog, we delve into four critical insights from Brian from working with hundreds of companies on hybrid and remote work:
The benefits and risks of company-wide mandates to return to office
How “team-level agreements” can drive greater employee buy-in
The evolution of the role of the manager in the age of remote work
How organizations can best enable managers to be successful
Company Spotlight
At H1, the majority of employees can choose when (or never) to attend the office. Sales Development, Office Management, and Community are required to be in the office daily. The office culture in our UK and India offices tends to be more hybrid by choice and based on the geography of the employees. There are employees who are 100% remote in all locations.
In the Media
Time: Now that the Biden Administration has declared the pandemic officially over, some companies are ready to declare hybrid work the new reality and are redesigning their offices accordingly.
Inc: As enticing as an abbreviated work week sounds, founders say that Summer Fridays were designed for an era when most employees were still commuting to the office five days a week.
Bloomberg: One solution that’s cropped up: Hybrid work schedules, but with annual “work from anywhere” time — usually two to four weeks — for employees to enjoy the fully remote life.
